My name is Kathleen Hanson, and I am an RN Case Manager for Azura Hospice.

I graduated with my Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2008 from Moraine Park Technical College and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Western Governor’s University in 2018.

While I have experience in long term care, specialties and primary care, I was also a hospice RN at Cedar Community in West Bend around 2011. It was there that I realized my passion was for those that were nearing the end of life and being incredibly blessed to care for those patients and also their families. Often hospice is viewed as a negative thing, however it can be truly beautiful because it is then that a person’s life comes full circle and it is an honor and privilege to bring them comfort and peace in their last days and to see families come together to celebrate their love for that person. I lost both of my parents at the age of 69, and I understand what it’s like to lose loved ones. Life is not always easy, and it was never promised to be such, but I have learned throughout my lifetime that faith in God and the importance of helping our fellow man, we can overcome anything. I am also blessed to have 2 daughters aged 23 and 20 and they are my happy place.
